Public Notice of Blasting

Trumbull Corporation will begin blasting on the Mon-Fayette Expressway PA 51 to I-376 Project, Section 53A2 between Camp Hollow and Curry Hollow roads beginning on or around August 5, 2024.

Trumbull Corporation has safely and successfully employed blasting techniques on many projects in the region. We look forward to safely completing this operation as well. The warning procedure is as follows:

SCHEDULE

• 5 minutes prior to blasting 3 horn alerts of 15 seconds each will be sounded.
• Blasting operations will be on-going within the project limits.
• Blasting operations will occur between 7AM and 6 PM, Monday through Saturday.

ALERT SYSTEM

• 5 minutes prior to blasting, 3 horn alerts of 15 seconds each will be sounded.
• 1 minute prior to blasting, 3 horn alerts of 10 seconds each will be sounded.
• 30 seconds prior to blasting, a series of short horn alerts will be sounded up to the time of detonation.
• After the blast, the area will be checked, and a horn will be sounded for 15 seconds to indicate that “all is clear.”

*A siren may be substituted for horns in the above warning procedure.
