On Thursday, September 24, 2015, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission held a preliminary open house plans display for the Turnpike Total Reconstruction & Widening Project - Milepost 308 (Styer Road) to 312 (SR 100). Other information available at the open house included typical roadway cross sections, traffic noise analysis, right-of-way information, and public outreach materials including opportunities to complete comment forms and sign ups to receive future project information. Project Team members were on hand to discuss the project details and answer any questions. The open house plans display was held at the Lionville Middle School - 550 W. Uwchlan Avenue, Exton, PA.

The Commission is working to fulfill the requirements for the land transfer as required by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resource (Department), the LWCF administrator and the Project 70 Act. In accordance with the Commission's statutory authority, and with the approval of the Secretary of the National Park Service for the LWCF conversion, and express authorization from the General Assembly to dispose of the State park land currently encumbered by Project 70 Act restrictions, the Department is proposing to grant to the Commission, free of all encumbrances, a permanent right of way (ROW) acquisition of 4.302 acres of State park land as more fully described in the PA Bulletin.
