Project Overview
This project included concrete pavement repairs to the ramps and main connector of the Cranberry Interchange. Work also included structure guiderail approach modification, drainage upgrades, bridge barrier concrete patching, inlet repairs, guiderail upgrades, shoulder stabilization, permanent pavement markings, delineation, and post mounted signs. Maintenance and Protection of interchange traffic is also included.
Project construction activities started on Monday, July 24, 2023 and was completed on October 17, 2025.
There were four phases to the project:
- Phase 1 included Ramp M, Ramp P, and Loop A which were completed during the 2023 construction season.
- Phases 2 and 3 included Ramp J, Ramp JK, Ramp K, Ramp L, Ramp R, Loop B, and Structure S-23394 work were completed during the 2024 construction season.
- Phase 4 was completed in 2025 and included the Eastbound Connector Road, Westbound Connector Road, Ramp A, Ramp B, Ramp N, for Concrete Pavement Patching, Pavement Markings, Signage, and ancillary cleanup work.
