Milepost 312-319

Traveling Construction Milepost 312-319

Construction and Extension

Project Overview

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is planning to reconstruct and widen the Mainline of the Turnpike from Milepost 312 to 319 in Chester County. The project has been divided into two design and construction sections, both of which are currently in Final Design. The first section is from Milepost 311.60 to Milepost 316.19 and is currently being advanced. The second section is from Milepost 316.19 to Milepost 319.44 and will follow thereafter. Upon completion of these two Mainline projects, the existing four-lane facility will be upgraded to a six-lane facility (three 12-foot travel lanes westbound and three eastbound) with 12-foot inside and outside shoulders. Construction dates for both sections have yet to be determined. Between 2010 and 2016, three overhead bridges (Bodine Road, Valley Hill Road (SR 1021) and Yellow Springs Road) were replaced within the project limits.
