Design Activities
FALL/WINTER 2024
- Communication with Stakeholders: We have sent project notification letters to public officials, local stakeholders (such as the Fire Department, School Districts, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation), and residents. These letters explain the project and the upcoming design work. Following this, we sent Notification of Intent to Enter (NOITE) letters to local residents and property owners who might be affected by the future widening project.
- Field Documentation: Our team conducted field views to document geotechnical rock formations and take an inventory of existing signage.
- Surveying Activities: Surveyors will be working along the mainline and side streets to verify the aerial mapping and update the information as necessary with any changes noted in the field. The surveyors also need this data to set the alignment for the preliminary design phase. The team will also gather property information along the borders between the mainline and adjacent properties.
