The Federal Highway Administration, in coordination with the PA Turnpike Commission and New Jersey Turnpike Authority, has published a Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform the public, agencies, tribes and nations, and stakeholders that a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement will be prepared to evaluate potential transportation improvements for the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276)/Interstate 95 Interchange Project and solicit comments. The PA Turnpike Commission and New Jersey Turnpike Authority are pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $600 million in federal funding to go toward the DRB Project.
The Project Team is preparing a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The Draft SEIS evaluates potential impacts from the two build alternatives and documents coordination with resource agencies, tribes and nations, and the public.
