Environmental Documents
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in coordination with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and New Jersey Turnpike Authority, are preparing a Draft Supplement Environmental Impact Statement (Draft SEIS) to evaluate potential transportation improvements for the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276)/Interstate 95 Interchange Project and solicit comments. This SEIS will focus on Stage 3 - Delaware River Bridge (DRB) Project. Transportation improvements under consideration include the replacement of the existing DRB and reconfiguration of the approach roadways. Various technical studies are being completed to inform the Draft SEIS. The results of these studies will be summarized in the Draft SEIS and published in the various documents listed below.
The SEIS will consider new information or circumstances relevant to environmental concerns identified since the FHWA issued the 2003 Record of Decision.
Notice of Intent (NOI) & Supporting Documents:
The NOI was published on April 24, 2026, and marked the start of the formal environmental review and documentation process.
