Fall 2026 Update
Preliminary field investigations will be performed this Fall and continue through the end of 2026. Initial field investigations will include:
- Surveying: Topographic surveys will be performed in the project area by Mobile LiDAR vehicles and aerial drones as well as conventional survey methods.
- Environmental Investigations: Field work including and identification of streams and wetlands as well as historical and archaeological investigations will be performed.
- Traffic Data Collection: Traffic data and turning count movements will be collected along SR 981 and Fiedors Grove Road with the use of traffic counting equipment and cameras.
- Geotechnical Investigations: Field work will include drilling borings with a drill rig to obtain subsurface information.
