Current Activities
- Mainline widening and reconstruction (Five main construction stages) started June 2022.
- Stage 3 of Construction – Traffic is on the newly constructed shoulders and right lanes (outside); the work zone is the left lanes and median (inside).
- Reconstructing the inside portions of two (2) Turnpike Mainline bridges:
- B-346A – Turnpike Mainline over the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River.
- B-499A – Turnpike Mainline over New Baltimore Road (SR 3012 / SR 1015).
- Installing new right-of-way fence and access gates.
- Maintaining erosion and sedimentation control requirements.
