Project Overview 
This project section is five miles in length and includes widening the existing PA Turnpike mainline to accommodate six 12-foot lanes with 12-foot inside and outside shoulders. Also included in this section’s design are overhead and mainline structure (such as bridges and overpasses) replacements. The section begins just west of the Saltsburg Road Bridge in Plum Borough and extends just east of the Northern Pike Road Bridge in the Municipality of Monroeville and includes the mainline ramps of the Pittsburgh Interchange.
