Project Overview
This project will include the total reconstruction & widening of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Cranberry Township, Butler County. The project includes the total reconstruction of approximately 4 miles of Turnpike roadway from Mile Post 25.0 to 28.9. It will result in a six-lane roadway with twelve (12) foot shoulders and widening of the median from ten (10) to twenty-six (26) feet. Also included in this project are mainline structure replacements over Rochester Road and Coal Run.
The design team recently completed a feasibility study to widen Rochester Road from Haine School Road to Thomson Drive as part of an agreement with PennDOT District 10.
