Ramp closure scheduled at Cranberry Interchange

Ramp closure scheduled at Cranberry Interchange

Impacting Eastbound Exit onto U.S. Route 19

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Motorists are advised that, weather permitting, a ramp closure coming off the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) eastbound at the Cranberry Interchange (Exit 28) will result in a detour next week.

The off-ramp onto U.S. Route 19 (Warrendale/Cranberry) will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23 until 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27. This is to allow for concrete pavement repairs as part of an ongoing repair and maintenance project at the Cranberry Interchange.

An approximately 1.8-mile detour will be in place during the ramp closure:

  • Proceed straight and use the left lanes to take the Interstate 79 North (Erie) on-ramp.
  • Continue onto I-79 North to Exit 78, PA Route 228 (Cranberry/Mars). After exiting, follow signs for PA Route 228 West to U.S. Route 19 (Cranberry).
  • At the traffic signal, turn left onto PA Route 228 and proceed until reaching the intersection of U.S. Route 19 (Perry Highway)

Turnpike and local travelers should expect higher than normal traffic volumes at the exit point during the closure and should plan accordingly.
