What if I forget my username and/or password to my E-ZPass account?

You can click here to login to your E-ZPass account. Click "Having trouble signing in?" and answer the questions to receive a temporary password. You can also call the PA Turnpike E-ZPass Customer Service Center during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.) at 1-877-736-6727 and when prompted, say "Customer Service" then select 1. The PA Turnpike Commission also suggests you download our mobile app, PA Toll Pay. For your protection, you will be required to verify account information to obtain your pin.

Where can I purchase E-ZPass?

E-ZPass is available from the PA Turnpike E-ZPass Customer Service Center located at 300 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17111.  It is also available from one of our participating retailers.

Please note that customers who would like to add transponders to existing PA Turnpike E-ZPass accounts can do so by accessing their account online, via our mobile app, PA Toll Pay, or by calling the E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 1-877-736-6727 and when prompted, say "Customer Service" then select 1.

What payment methods are available for E-ZPass accounts?

  1. Automatic Payment from Bank Account
    An initial payment of $35 per transponder plus a $3 annual fee is required to open your account. (Please include a voided check along with your payment. This option authorizes the PA Turnpike to initiate debit entries from your bank account for a minimum of $35 per transponder. This replenishment takes place whenever your account balance reaches a cumulative value of $10 or less per transponder. ($10 x # of Transponders) NO DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED. The replenishment amount will be increased if an account replenishes more than three times a month. THIS OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE IF YOU APPLY ONLINE.
  2. Credit, Debit or Check Card
    An initial payment of $35 per transponder plus a $3 annual fee is required to open your account. This option authorizes the PA Turnpike to charge the payment card listed on your account a minimum of $35 per transponder when your account balance reaches a cumulative value of $10 or less per transponder. ($10 x # of Transponders).
    NO DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED. The replenishment amount will be increased if an account replenishes more than two times a month.
  3. Manual Payment
    This option requires a transponder deposit.   The minimum amount required to establish a manual account is $48 ($10 for a transponder deposit, $35 for tolls, and $3 for the annual fee) for each transponder added to the account. This option requires you to replenish your account balance when it reaches a cumulative value of $15 or less per transponder ($15 x # of Transponders). To add funds to your account, customers can make payments online, through our mobile app, PA Toll Pay, by phone (1-877-736-6727 and when prompted, say "Customer Service" then select 1) or mail.  Check or money order should be made payable to the PA Turnpike and include your E-ZPass account number.  Mail payments to the PA Turnpike E-ZPass Customer Service Center at 300 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17111.  Allow ten days for mail delivery and posting to your account.  Cash payments are only accepted at the PA Turnpike E‑ZPass Customer Service Center.

I am an E-ZPass customer. Why did I receive a Toll By Plate invoice?

E-ZPass customers receive PA Turnpike Toll By Plate invoices due to any one of the following conditions:

  • E-ZPass transponder is not in the vehicle, and the license plate of the vehicle was not listed on the E-ZPass account
  • E-ZPass transponder improperly mounted
  • E-ZPass account is not in good standing (no funds available for tolls)
  • E-ZPass transponder that has been reported lost or stolen being used
  • E-ZPass transponder is not working, may need to be replaced

How can I pay my Toll By Plate invoice?

Payment information is included on your Toll By Plate (TBP) invoice. Convenient options include payment online, through our mobile app, PA Toll Pay, by phone or mail. Payments can be made via check, money order or by credit card (i.e. Master Card, VISA, American Express and Discover).

What do I do if I received a Toll By Plate Invoice in error?

In order to discuss a Toll by Plate invoice you believe you have received in error you may fill out the Customer Contact Form, and choose Toll by Plate in the ‘topic’ drop down menu. Or you can call our Customer Service Center 1-877-736-6727 and when prompted, say "Customer Service" then select 3, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., when prompted say Toll by Plate.

Why did the PA Turnpike implement All-Electronic Tolling?

All-Electronic Tolling (AET) is safer, quicker, more convenient for customers and better for the environment. AET is safer because customers no longer have to change lanes depending on their payment method. With AET, customers no longer have to stop at Toll Points reducing travel times and vehicle emissions. Finally, E‑ZPass usage represents over 80% of all PA Turnpike toll transactions system-wide.

How can I file a claim for damages?

Navigate to the Claim for Damages page on the PA Turnpike website. Please follow all instructions on the page and submit a claim by entering all necessary information into the Claim for Damages form found on this page.

If you traveled on the PA Turnpike and believe the toll charge you received was incorrect, you can dispute it by providing the information using the Toll Dispute Form options. To process your toll dispute, provide a copy of your E‑ZPass account statement indicating the transaction(s) you wish to dispute.

Complete and submit this form only if you have experienced an injury or damage to your vehicle or property, for which you believe the PA Turnpike Commission is responsible. For all other concerns, please use the Contact Us form.
