Description: The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) is issuing this Request for Proposals from qualified toll system providers for a new open-road cashless-tolling roadside toll collection system to support the continued conversion of PTC toll facilities to cashless tolling. This procurement includes maintenance during subsequent operations, automated vehicle identification via E-ZPass and video capture, axle and dimension-based vehicle classification and related roadside requirements specific to the PTC. The combination of the base contract and contract options, if exercised, may include approximately 78 single-direction multilane tolling sites. The roadside system will be required to interface with existing host and customer service center operated by others and installed on civil infrastructure coordinated with and provided by others.
