Construction Updates

Harvison Road Bridge Removal

  • The Harvison Road Bridge in Penn Township was removed in October 2024. 
  • The construction of the Harvison Road (T-869) cul-de-sac on the south side of the PA Turnpike (I-76) has been completed. 
  • The overall construction is substantially complete, with final site stabilization and final project inspection occurring in the Spring of 2025.  Harvison Road Bridge demolition pictures:

Final Design Work

Mainline East MP 61-67

  • Final design of the MP 61 to MP 67 mainline widening is currently progressing towards 60% completion.  
  • Ongoing design tasks include roadway, traffic control, right-of-way acquisition, and drainage for the improved roadway. 
  • The design of the MP 61 to MP 67 mainline widening is being coordinated with the SR 0130 Interchange project. 
  • New property owners along the corridor will be notified of the project. 
  • The project will begin geotechnical test borings. The collected subsurface information will be used for the design of the project.  Geotechnical test boring pictures:
