Trac Drill Rig

Spring 2026 Update

The design of the mainline Turnpike section from MP 302-308 is currently in the final design phase of work. Design is more than 60 percent complete.

  • Geotechnical fieldwork is underway. Drilling activity will take place adjacent to the Pennsylvania Turnpike to evaluate subsurface conditions. This work is anticipated to begin in April 2026 and continue on and off for most of the year. These geotechnical drilling investigations will be performed by a drill rig, similar to that pictured. If there is disturbance to the area, it will be restored to the original condition as much as possible after completion of the drilling. Minimal tree trimming may be necessary to access locations. Property owners at these locations will be contacted by April 2026.

The majority of construction work along Marsh Road has been completed through winter 2026. Work on Adams Road began in winter 2026 and will continue through summer 2026. This work consists of:

  • The Adams Road detour is in place.
  • Work on the Adams Road structure is ongoing.
  • Utility relocation to the permanent location is underway.
