Project Overview
This project will construct a new full interchange along the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Milepost 331.6 in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County. The new Lafayette Street Interchange is a key component of Montgomery County’s broader Lafayette Street Extension Project.
The project includes the construction of new on- and off-ramps to and from the PA Turnpike and improvements to traffic circulation in the surrounding area. The interchange falls between the existing Valley Forge and Norristown interchanges and offers a more direct route for PA Turnpike motorists to access Norristown, Conshohocken, and interspersed commercial, industrial, and residential developments along the east shore of the Schuylkill River.
