WTS Central PA Chapter Hosting 4th Annual STEAM Day
Day-long event inspiring high school students to explore the transportation industry
HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Central Pennsylvania Chapter, along with the Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), are hosting their 4th Annual STEAM Day.
STEAM Day is a day-long event designed to encourage young women in grades 9 through 12 to explore career opportunities within the transportation industry. The day is scheduled to include hands-on activities, virtual reality and drone demonstrations and guest speakers to help inspire a new generation who may want to enter engineering and related fields. Seniors who attend will also be able to sign up to earn scholarships from WTS Central PA.

Students from the following schools and school districts have signed up to attend: Bishop McDevitt, Central Dauphin, Dubois Area, Elizabethtown Area, Fairfield Area, Harrisburg High, Hempfield, Hershey, John Harris, Littlestown Area, Lower Dauphin, Manheim Central, Mechanicsburg, Middletown Area, Northeastern, State College Area, Susquehanna Township, Trinity Area, West Perry, West York Area, William Penn and Yellow Breeches Educational Center
