Early Morning Lane Closure Northbound on Northeast Extension
Planned work during early morning hours to minimize traffic impacts
BUCKS & MONTGOMERY COUNTIES, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) advises motorists traveling north on the Northeast Extension (Interstate 476) of an upcoming early morning closure between the Quakertown (Exit 44) and Lansdale (Exit 31) Interchanges. Northbound lanes between Quakertown and Lansdale will be closed from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Sunday, September 7 so crews can safely erect an overhead sign and message board. Those traveling southbound are not impacted.
During the northbound closure, the following suggested detour will be in place:

•US 202 NORTH
•PA 309 NORTH
•PA 663 SOUTH
•Re-enter at the Quakertown Interchange #A44
Pennsylvania State Police and PA Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted areas to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information on this closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
