PA Turnpike’s Chief Operating Officer Elected to International Transportation Board of Directors
Middletown, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PA Turnpike)’s Chief Operating Officer Craig R. Shuey was elected to the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA)’s Board of Directors at the 92nd Annual IBTTA Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio. Shuey will serve a four-year term from Jan. 1, 2025, through December 2028.
“I am humbled to be recognized by my peers and honored to serve on IBTTA’s Board of Directors,” Shuey said. “I look forward to learning from them and toll experts across the world, while sharing the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s innovative work that prioritizes customer and employee safety.”
Shuey has served as the PA Turnpike’s Chief Operating Officer since 2011 and is responsible for day-to-day operations, oversight, management, and strategic planning of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. In his role, he directly oversees six departments, including Electronic Toll Collection, Traffic Engineering and Operations, Maintenance and Human Resources. He joined the Commission in 2009 as its government affairs director. Before that, he worked in the Pennsylvania Senate for 15 years and was executive director of its Transportation Committee.
Additionally, Shuey served two terms as chair of the E-ZPass Group’s Executive Management Committee, where continues to represent the PA Turnpike.
