Northbound Closure Between Mahoning Valley and Pocono Interchange

Northbound Closure Between Mahoning Valley and Pocono Interchange

Carbon County, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PA Turnpike) advises motorists traveling northbound on the Northeast Extension (Interstate 476) that there is a closure between Mahoning Valley Interchange (Exit 74) and Pocono Interchange (Exit 95) due to a crash. The closure will remain in place until the Pennsylvania State Police completes their investigation.

During the closure, the following detour is in place:

  • US Route 209 North
  • PA Route 115 North
  • I-80 West, 7.0 miles (Exit 277)
  • Re-enter at the Pocono Interchange #A95

Pennsylvania State Police and PA Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted areas to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information on this closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly.
