Closure of Express Lanes Scheduled This Weekend at Mid-County Interchange on Northeast Extension
MIDDLETOWN, PA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling northbound on the Northeast Extension (I-476) that the express lanes will be closed at the Mid-County Interchange (Exit 20) between Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m. until Sunday, October 27 at 7 a.m. due to necessary roadway and equipment repairs stemming from a previous incident. Due to the closure of the express lanes, motorists traveling northbound should be prepared for stopped or slowed traffic.
Pennsylvania State Police will be assisting with traffic control during the following times at the interchange to allow construction work to be done at the interchange safely.
During these times, traffic will be stopped for brief periods. State Police and Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted areas to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
