Pennsylvania Turnpike Collecting Items for Hurricane Relief Drive
MIDDLETOWN, PA — Today, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PA Turnpike) launched a community donation drive to support those recently impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The public can drop off requested supplies on the following days at the select locations:
- Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Central Administration Building, 700 S. Eisenhower Blvd. Middletown, PA 17057:
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., through October 27
- 12 p.m. - 4 p.m., October 19, during the National Move Over Day Event at the Central Administration Building.
- Mechanicsburg Borough Building, 36 W Allen St, Mechanicsburg PA 17055:
- Drop off location is open 24 hours, seven days a week
- October 19 through November 9
The following items will be accepted:
- Food: non-perishable, easy-to-prepare
- Bottled water
- Cleaning supplies/rubber gloves/large, heavy duty trash bags
- Diapers/Baby Wipes/Baby food & formula
- Personal Care Kit items:
- Wash cloths
- Bars of soap
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Combs
- Deodorant
- Shampoo
The PA Turnpike is NOT accepting the following donations:
- Clothing of any kind
- Towels or bedding
- Furniture
- Household Items/Decor
- Money or gift cards

These public efforts will supplement the PA Turnpike’s internal efforts. The PA Turnpike is collecting donations at its three regional offices and at 23 maintenance sheds across the system. Teamsters volunteers will help transport the items to the American Red Cross locations for victims.
