Turnpike crews will be repaving westbound on-ramp

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) advises drivers looking to enter the PA Turnpike (Interstate 76) westbound at the Blue Mountain Interchange (Exit 201) that the westbound on-ramp will be temporarily closed Wednesday night until early Thursday morning.

The closure, scheduled from Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, Oct. 10 at 5 a.m., is necessary to allow PA Turnpike crews to safely resurface the westbound on-ramp. Eastbound access will not be impacted.

Those looking to travel westbound at Blue Mountain can take the following detour to the Willow Hill Interchange (Exit 189):

• PA Route 997 South, 4.3 miles

• PA Route 641 West, 8.7 miles

• PA Route 75 South, 1.8 miles

• Enter at Willow Hill Interchange #189

Pennsylvania State Police and PA Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted areas to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information on the closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
