Traffic on Hawk Falls Bridge Reduced to One-Lane Southbound

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) advises drivers that southbound traffic on the Hawk Falls Bridge (Milepost A88.6) has been reduced to one-lane to allow PA Turnpike crews and contractors to safely make bridge repairs. The single-lane traffic pattern southbound will be in place until the repair work is complete.

Southbound traffic is expected to become backlogged due to the lane closure during the peak traffic hours of 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 4th. Drivers should plan travel accordingly.

This work is in addition to upcoming overnight closures in both directions on Friday and Saturday that the PA Turnpike announced earlier Thursday.
