Ramp Closures Scheduled at Beaver Valley Interchange


Detours will be in place as progress continues on Beaver Valley Bridge Replacement Project

HOMEWOOD, PA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike) advises motorists that westbound on and off-ramps will be closed at the Beaver Valley Interchange (Exit 13) beginning Sunday, Sep. 8 at 6 p.m. until Friday Sep. 13 at 6 a.m. This closure allows crews working on the Beaver Valley Bridge Replacement Project to safely tie-in temporary ramps to allow for the construction of the final ramp configuration for the new interchange at PA Route 18 (Big Beaver Boulevard).

The following detours will be in place:

I-76 WB EXIT AT BEAVER VALLEY (EXIT 13)PA-18 EXIT TO PA TURNPIKE (I-76)
Continue west 3 miles to New Castle Interchange (Exit 10) Continue north on PA-18 (Big Beaver Blvd.) 1.4 miles
Keep left toward I-376 West (New Castle), then keep right and exit toward PA-351 Turn left onto PA-351 (Fairlane Blvd.), 2.2 miles
Turn left onto Shenango Road, 0.4 miles Turn left onto Shenango Road, 0.2 Miles
Turn right onto PA-351 (Fairlane Blvd.), 2.2 miles to PA-18 (Big Beaver Blvd.) Turn right onto exit and follow to I-76 West to New Castle Interchange (Exit 10)

The $294 million project, which included the new bridge and the total reconstruction of the PA Turnpike (Interstate 76) between mileposts 12 and 14 to six lanes of travel, is scheduled to open to traffic in 2026. This roadwork is critical to delivering on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (PA Turnpike)'s mission of operating a safe, reliable, customer-valued toll road system that supports national mobility and commerce.
