Westbound Ramp to I-79 at Cranberry Interchange to be Closed Next Week

Westbound Ramp to I-79 at Cranberry Interchange to be Closed Next Week

Detours onto U.S. Route 19 will be posted.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA —Motorists are advised that a ramp closure coming off the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) westbound at the Cranberry Interchange (Exit 28) will result in a detour next week.

The off-ramp onto Interstate 79 (Pittsburgh/Erie) will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday, September 25 until 5 a.m. Friday, September 29. This is to allow for concrete pavement repairs as part of an ongoing repair and maintenance project at the Cranberry Interchange.

Traffic will be directed onto U.S. Route 19 (Perry Highway) during the closure. I-79 northbound traffic will be detoured onto U.S. Route 19 North, to State Route 228 East, then exit onto I-79 North. Southbound traffic will be detoured to U.S. Route 19 South to the I-79 South exit. Turnpike and local travelers should expect higher than normal traffic volumes on the detour routes during the closure and should plan accordingly.
