Full Ramp Closure Scheduled to Begin July 31 at Lansdale Interchange

Full Ramp Closure Scheduled to Begin July 31 at Lansdale Interchange

A two-month long southbound ramp closure needed for planned construction.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling on State Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) that the southbound only entrance ramp to the Northeastern Extension (I-476) at Lansdale Interchange, Exit 31A, Montgomery County, will be closed from July 31 to approximately September 30.

During the entrance ramp closure, motorists should utilize the conventional toll plaza lanes from State Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) to access the PA Turnpike (I-476) in the southbound direction.

The two-month long closure is part of a PennDOT project that includes reconstruction and reconfiguration of the southbound only entrance ramp. Once the road work is completed, it will allow for a second left turn from State Route 63 east (Sumneytown Pike) to the I-476 southbound ramp (Lansdale Interchange, Exit 31A).

Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Changeable message signs will also provide information. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
