PA Turnpike to Close Overnight June 10 between Valley Forge and Norristown Interchanges

PA Turnpike to Close Overnight June 10 between Valley Forge and Norristown Interchanges

Five-hour closure in both directions needed for planned overhead utility work.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that Interstate 276 (I-276) will be closed in both directions from midnight on Saturday, June 10 to 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 11 between the Valley Forge Interchange, Exit 326, and the Norristown Interchange, Exit 333, Montgomery County.

The Turnpike closure is necessary for the protection of motorists and workers so crews can safely replace overhead utility lines.

Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted interchanges to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information on closures and detours.

Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Eastbound Detour

Take Interstate 76 eastbound (Schuylkill Expressway) to Interstate 476 north. Re-enter the PA Turnpike at the Mid-County Interchange, Exit 20.

Westbound Detour

Take Interstate 476 south to Exit 16 to Interstate 76 westbound (Schuylkill Expressway). Re-enter the PA Turnpike at the Valley Forge Interchange, Exit 326.
