PA Turnpike Schedules Virtual Public Meeting

PA Turnpike Schedules Virtual Public Meeting

Virtual public meeting for the Lafayette Street Interchange Project in the vicinity of Norristown.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) will hold a Virtual Public Meeting for Lafayette Street Interchange Project on Wednesday, April 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. via Zoom Webinar. Please visit the Zoom link https://bit.ly/3rX4N9N, Webinar ID: 934 5476 0608, Webinar passcode: 100664.

The Lafayette Street Interchange was conceived to help alleviate existing traffic problems and spur economic development in the vicinity of Norristown, Pennsylvania. The interchange falls between the existing Valley Forge and Norristown interchanges and offers a more direct route for Turnpike motorists to access Norristown, Conshohocken, and interspersed commercial, industrial and residential developments along the east shore of the Schuylkill River. The project is part of the overall Lafayette Street Improvement project in the Norristown area.

During this meeting, you will be able to view project plans, review information on the noise analysis and mitigation, and view maps showing impacts to property owners, design, typical sections, environmental impacts, and construction schedules. Project team members will be on hand to answer questions about the project.

Additional project details will be available during the meeting, which the public is encouraged to attend. Anyone needing additional information may contact Mohammad M. Mohammad, Engineer Project Manager, at mmohammad@paturnpike.com. Project updates will continue to be posted on the Turnpike’s website at https://www.paturnpike.com/traveling/construction/site/lafayette-street-interchange.
