Weekend closure planned on Perry Highway in Marshall Township, Allegheny County

Closure and lane restrictions needed for PA Turnpike bridge work.


The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) is alerting motorists of a southbound and northbound closure on State Route 19 (Perry Highway) in Marshall Township, Allegheny County beginning at 8 p.m. March 25 through 5 a.m. on March 28.

The closure will occur on State Route 19 between Thorn Hill Road and Warrendale Bayne Road. During the closure motorists are asked to follow these posted detours:

State Route 19 Northbound Detour:

Warrendale Bayne Road (State Route 4052) to I-79 south to Exit 73/State Route 910 east to I-79 north to Exit 78 State Route 228 west to State Route 19.

 

State Route 19 Southbound Detour:

State Route 228 east to I-79 south to Exit 73/State Route 910 east to I-79 north to Exit 75 Warrendale Bayne Road (State Route 4052) to State Route 19.  

Signage will be in place throughout the approximate 10.5-mile detours.

Crews will be setting steel bridge beams for the new overhead bridge that will carry the Turnpike over State Route 19. Please use caution when traveling through the area and obey posted speed limits.

This work will be performed weather permitting, rain dates for work are April 1 to April 4.
