The state to fly at half-staff to honor former First Lady Barbara Bush
Governor Tom Wolf has ordered the Commonwealth flag on the Capitol Complex, at all Commonwealth facilities, and all public buildings and grounds throughout the state to fly at half-staff to honor former First Lady Barbara Bush.
Barbara Bush, 92, passed away Wednesday April 17, 2018.
“Barbara Bush was an amazing American and an inspiration to millions,” Governor Wolf said. “She will be remembered and missed by our nation. Frances and I send our condolences to the Bush family.”
The Commonwealth flag shall be lowered from Wednesday, April 18, 2018, through sunset on Saturday, April 21, 2018. The United States flag shall be lowered during the same timeframe per presidential order.
All Pennsylvanians are invited to participate in this tribute.
