PA Turnpike Hosts Project Briefing in Somerset County

The public is invited for an update on the Allegheny Mountain Realignment Project

SOMERSET COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PA Turnpike) will hold a Project Briefing for the Allegheny Mountain Realignment Project, which will add a new stretch of mainline roadway to increase safety, reduce congestion, and allow for the free flow of traffic through Allegheny and Stonycreek Townships. The new alignment will improve access and mobility for the region. 

The Allegheny Mountain Realignment Project is in the Preliminary Design Phase, which is expected to last approximately four years. The PA Turnpike will provide an update to the community on the status of the project and expectations for the next four years of preliminary engineering.

 Information will be available on the project website at Allegheny Mountain Realignment (paturnpike.com) following the meeting. Feedback will be accepted for two weeks after the meeting through the website, mail, or email as noted on the feedback forms.
