Daytime Closure on PA Turnpike Planned February 8 between Pocono and SR 903 Interchanges

Six-hour, southbound daytime closure needed for roadway repair.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that the Northeast Extension (Interstate-476) will be closed southbound on Thursday, Feb. 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between the Pocono Interchange, Exit 95, and the State Route 903 Interchange, Exit 87, Carbon County.

The six hour closure is necessary for the protection of motorists and workers so crews can safely make roadway repairs.

Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted areas to assist drivers. Digital message signs will also provide information on closures and detours. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly.

Southbound Detour:

Take I-80 east (7.8 miles) to PA 115 south (1.8 miles) to PA 903 south (7.1 miles).  Re-enter the PA Turnpike at the State Route 903 Interchange, Exit 87.
