Bridge work to lead to lane closure in Westmoreland County

Drivers traveling westbound near New Stanton interchange should prepare for travel delays.

NEW STANTON, PA —The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is warning motorists of potential travel delays as bridge work will require a one-lane closure.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 23 at 5:00 p.m., crews will be closing the right lane westbound on the bridge at Milepost 75.63, located just before the New Stanton interchange. The lane closure is expected to last until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25. During this time, crews will be doing a deck joint repair on the bridge.

Westbound travelers are reminded to follow all posted signs in work zones for the safety of both travelers and our workers doing their job. Work will be taking place around the clock, so the road will be fully opened sooner if possible.
