Westbound Express E-ZPass Closure Scheduled July 20 at Warrendale Toll Plaza

Westbound Express E-ZPass Closure Scheduled July 20 at Warrendale Toll Plaza

Four-hour closure needed for planned tolling equipment maintenance.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that the westbound Express E-ZPass lane at the Warrendale Mainline Toll Plaza at milepost 30 in Allegheny County will be closed Wednesday, July 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Customers will still be able to use the conventional tolling lanes through the toll plaza on the right side.  Motorists should be aware that the conventional tolling lanes have a posted speed limit of 15 mph.

The four-hour closure is needed so crews can safely perform work on the overhead electronic tolling equipment. Motorists should be prepared for slow moving or stopped traffic approaching the Warrendale Toll Plaza.

Digital messages signs will be in place to alert motorists of the closure. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
