Possible Delays Expected on PA Turnpike in Bensalem

Possible Delays Expected on PA Turnpike in Bensalem

Traffic switches, part of upcoming Total Reconstruction Project, scheduled during early hours to minimize traffic impacts

MONTGOMERY & BUCKS COUNTIES, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (Commission) advises motorists to be prepared for slow-moving and stopped traffic on the PA Turnpike from Willow Grove to Bensalem during overnight hours starting Monday, November 2, 2026 through Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Starting at 11 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, the Commission will be conducting traffic paces eastbound after the Willow Grove Interchange (Exit 343) to Milepost 355.1 in Bensalem until 2 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2026. During this time, traffic will be closed at the eastbound entrance ramp at Exit 351 and Exit 352.

On Tuesday, November 3, 2026 through Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the Commission will conduct similar operations westbound from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m. The Westbound Traffic paces will begin after the I-95 Levittown/Bristol Interchange (Exit 42) to Milepost 355.1.

The intermittent, 30-minute traffic stoppages are necessary so crews can safely set new traffic patterns for the next section of the I-95 Interchange Project. During the stoppages, PA Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict PA Turnpike traffic to a speed of 15-20 miles an hour. The paces are done overnight to minimize traffic impacts.

Pennsylvania State Police and PA Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted areas to assist drivers. Changeable message signs will also provide information on this closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
