Construction Activities
Construction began in April 2022 to widen and reconstruct six miles of the PA Turnpike between north of Clump Road (Milepost A38) to just south of the Quakertown Interchange (Milepost A44) in Salford Township, West Rockhill Township, and Milford Township, Bucks County. The roadway will expand from four to six lanes, improving safety and capacity.
The project includes bridge replacements, culvert extensions, roadway reconstruction, and stormwater upgrades. Completion is expected by July 2026.
Bridges on Steinsburg Road (SR 4059), Trumbauersville Road (SR 4051), and Upper Ridge Road (SR 4033) were also replaced to support the widening.
