Ramp Closure Scheduled for May 14 and 15 at Route 903 ‘E-ZPass-Only’ Interchange
Eight-hour overnight closure needed for toll equipment maintenance.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises Northeastern Extension motorists using the Route 903 E-ZPass Only Interchange, Exit 87, in Carbon County, to be prepared for slow-moving or possible stopped traffic on May 14 and 15 as the southbound entry ramp will close overnight to enable technicians to safely perform routine maintenance on the electronic toll equipment.

From 10 p.m. on May 14 until 6 a.m. on May 15, the southbound entry ramp will be closed. During the ramp closure, motorists travelling on State Route 903 will not be able to enter the Northeastern Extension to travel south.

During the closures, motorists should seek alternate routes by using the nearest available interchange on I-476 depending on your direction of travel.

Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
