PA Turnpike Plans Weekend Closure of Foxwood Road in Homewood Boro, Beaver County
Closure needed to install new sewer system.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists using Foxwood Road in Homewood Boro, Beaver Co. that it will be closing a section of the roadway for approximately 60-hours starting at 6 p.m. on May 6 through 6 a.m. on May 9.

The section of Foxwood Road that will be closed is in the vicinity of the PA Turnpike’s underpass from Pinkerton Lane to Midvale Road.  The following detour will be in effect; Norwood Road to Midvale Road, which brings traffic back on to Foxwood Road. (Detour length is 1.4 miles)

During the closure the PA Turnpike will be replacing the sanitary sewer system, which is part of the project to re-align Foxwood Road and replace the Turnpike’s portion of the existing Homewood Viaduct Bridge over the PA Turnpike. This is an early action project for the Turnpike’s future Beaver Valley River bridge replacement and total reconstruction from milepost 12 to 14. For more information visit the project website at
