Repairs to Stormwater System Limit the Westbound PA Turnpike to a Single Lane near Bedford

Motorists are being advised to exit at Bedford or Breezewood to avoid significant delays.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that maintenance of the stormwater drainage system has necessitated a single-lane pattern westbound between Bedford (#146) and Somerset (#110) Interchanges.  The single lane will remain in place until 5 p.m. tonight to allow the contractor to complete work near milepost 130.

Westbound motorists should expect stopped or slow moving traffic throughout the evening.  Motorists should exit at Bedford Interchange or Breezewood Interchange to avoid delays. The current congestion is approaching 10-12 miles.
