        With just the swipe of a "fare card" business travelers can communicate almost anywhere instantly via personal computer or fax at the Sunoco Business Centers.
The Business Centers are located westbound at the Turnpike's Lawn Service Plaza, approximately 7 miles west of the Lebanon/Lancaster Interchange(#20) and eastbound at the Highspire Service Plaza, approximately 2 1/2 miles east of the Harrisburg East Interchange (#19).
        Opened in 1995, the Sunoco Business Centers are a pilot program undertaken by Sun Company. When Sunoco was reconstructing its Turnpike facilities the 12 by 15-foot business centers were added to the Lawn and Highspire locations.
        "They were originally conceived as another service for Turnpike customers," said Sunoco's Co-op Coordinator Dave Heisler. "If the centers prove successful, we'll eventually expand to other locations across the Turnpike."
        Convenient for Turnpike travelers, the "Business Centers," which are open 24-hours a day, are situated inside the Sunoco Convenience Stores (adjacent to the fueling pumps). The brightly lit centers feature copying machines, spacious workstations equipped with personal computers, modems, laser printers, fax machines and a bank of public telephones.
        Business travelers and truckers can purchase a "Fare Card" in denominations of $3 to $99 from the convenience store clerk to cover the costs of available services. The "Fare Card" is good for payment at either of the Sunoco Business Centers. Do you think using the telephone or conducting business in your car could be dangerous? You're right. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and Sunoco encourage you to take advantage of the "Business Centers" for your safety and convenience.
