SINGLE-LANE PATTERN FOR EASTBOUND TRAFFIC SCHEDULED AGAIN FOR DONEGAL AREA | ||
Eastbound traffic on a four-mile stretch of Interstate 76/70 just west of the Donegal interchange will be restricted to one lane for a period of about 41 hours, starting at daybreak Monday, for the relocation of barriers and other work associated with a traffic stage switch on the Turnpike's Total Reconstruction Project between Mileposts 85 and 94. The single-lane pattern for eastbound traffic is to be implemented at 6 am Monday, Nov. 17 and is to remain in effect until 11 pm Tuesday, Nov. 18, weather permitting. The area of the single-lane pattern is from Milepost 84.5 to Milepost 88.5. In addition to the single-lane pattern, a slowdown or “pacing” of eastbound traffic through the four-mile area is scheduled for approximately 9 am Tuesday. Westbound traffic through this area of the Turnpike will not be affected. Message boards and Highway Advisory Radio broadcasts will be utilized to advise motorists of the set-up. Back-ups are possible at high-volume periods. Motorists are urged to use caution in traversing the area and are reminded to be alert for signing noting the new configuration of the eastbound exit ramp at the Donegal interchange.
