TRAVEL ADVISORY:
TRAFFIC STOPPAGES AND DETOUR NEAR PITTSBURGH
INTERCHANGE (EXIT 6) ON PA TURNPIKE IN ALLEGHENY COUNTY

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is alerting motorists that the eastbound Murrysville exit ramp along State Route 376 will be detoured off exit 16A (Monroeville) onto SR 48 South and SR 22 East beginning Saturday, July 24 at midnight continuing through Sunday, July 25 at noon.

In addition to the detour, traffic stoppages just east of the Turnpike's Pittsburgh Interchange on Business SR 22 will occur during this period. The detour and traffic stoppages at this location are one of the construction phases of the replacement of the Turnpike's ramp bridge running over SR 22 and SR 376 at the Pittsburgh Interchange. The bridge is being replaced with a new steel structure.

Ramp traffic exiting the Pittsburgh Interchange is currently traveling on a newly constructed portion of the ramp bridge and should not be affected by the stoppages. Also, Turnpike traffic should not be affected by this construction.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission alerts all motorists travelling near the Monroeville area, in the vicinity of the Pittsburgh Interchange, and those motorists exiting the Turnpike at this location during this period, to expect delays and take needed precautions in their travels. Motorists are also urged to use caution in this and all construction areas.
