TRAFFIC STOPPAGES AT MILEPOST 161.5
NEAR BREEZEWOOD INTERCHANGE IN BEDFORD COUNTY

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is alerting motorists that, weather permitting, the east and westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, just west of the Breezewood Interchange (Exit # 12, in Bedford County), will be subject to intermittent traffic stoppages on Tuesday August 31, 1999.

The intermittent stoppages will occur between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday August 31st. Each traffic stoppage will last no longer than 15 minutes in duration. The contractor anticipates 4 stoppages within this time period.

Traffic must be stopped for the replacement of an overhead sign structure at milepost 161. For those customers wishing to exit either at Breezewood or Bedford Interchange and bypass any delays, re-routing information will be available at the interchanges.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission urges all travelers in this area to take needed precautions and to expect delays in this. Motorists are also urged to use caution in this and all construction areas.
