The 24-mile Mon/Fayette Expressway Project from PA Route 51 to Interstate 376 would extend the Mon/Fayette system north from Route 51 in Jefferson Hills in southeastern Allegheny County to two interchanges with the Parkway East (I-376) – one in Monroeville/Penn Hills and one in the City of Pittsburgh near Second Avenue and Bates Street. To facilitate the design process, the PTC has divided the proposed Expressway into 13 design sections.
