OVERVIEW

The Pennsylvania Turnpike CommissionPTC conducted a series of nine Public Meetings in November 2007 to introduce the project and to collect input from citizens along the Interstate 80 corridor. More than 1,200 residents, business owners and public officials attended the series of meetings and provided input. The key concerns that were heard at the meetings were related to Act 44, community/economic impacts, the potential for traffic diversions and associated safety impacts, maintenance and operations, toll systems and trucking and emergency response needs.
