Pennsylvania is working on a project to Toll I-80 and raise tolls on the existing Turnpike.
Alabama
Alabama is investigating paying for new construction by charging tolls for traveling on or over four major new structure projects. A bill was passed by the House to establish a 5-member transportation commission to oversee AL-DOT, as well as allow private companies to help build the bridges and then collect the tolls.
Florida
Florida is investigating leasing key interstates such as Alligator Alley. A bill has also been introduced to the Senate to increase tolls on the existing system by 25% and add a $2 fee on to rental cars at airports.
