OHIO TURNPIKE MILEPOST 240.46
TO PA TURNPIKE MILEPOST 2.25

Summary:
Contractors initiated work on this project in early in 2006 and are currently wrapping up construction activities. This project included the reconstruction of roadway between milepost 240.46 on the Ohio Turnpike to milepost 2.25 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. The existing roadway surface was replaced, 12 foot shoulders were added and two 12 foot lanes have been maintained in both the westbound and eastbound direction.

Improvements were also made to the Gateway Toll Plaza and one bridge structure. The toll plaza now includes six traditional lanes and two additional high speed E-ZPass through lanes. The Turnpike Bridge over North Beaver Township Road 306 was also completely replaced to accommodate the 12 foot lanes and shoulders throughout the project.
