Erection of concrete superstructure for a new bridge carrying Candor Road (State Route 4009) over U.S. Route 22 in Robinson Township, Washington County will require periodic, midday stoppages of westbound traffic on Route 22 Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 22 and 23.
Stoppages are scheduled to occur between 9 am and 3 pm both days. Five stoppages are scheduled for Tuesday. Four stoppages are scheduled for Wednesday. None of the stoppages is to exceed 15 minutes in duration. The construction site is between the Bavington and McDonald (Pa. Route 980) interchanges on Route 22. Construction of a new bridge carrying Candor Road over Route 22 is part of the Turnpike Commission's Findlay Connector Project. The Findlay Connector, a six-mile tolled expressway extending south to Route 22 from the Pa. Route 60 Expressway at Pittsburgh International Airport, is expected to open for traffic in October.
